Privacy Policy
This page explains what information tonybytes.com collects, why, and what happens to it. Plain language, no fine print games.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to tonybytes.com itself — the portfolio, blog, and contact form. It does not cover individual apps built by TonyBytes; those each have their own privacy policy linked from their listing on the Apps page, since app store requirements are more specific than a website needs.
The contact form
When you submit the contact form, the name, email address, subject, and message you provide are sent directly to support@tonybytes.com as an email. That's it — the submission is not written to a database or stored anywhere on the server beyond that email. It's used only to read and reply to your message, and it is never sold, rented, or shared with any third party for marketing.
A short-lived session marker is used to rate-limit how many times the form can be submitted in a few minutes, to cut down on spam. That marker holds only a timestamp count, not your form contents.
What happens automatically
Like most websites, this one runs behind some standard infrastructure that processes a limited amount of data just to serve pages reliably and securely:
- Cloudflare sits in front of the site for performance and security (e.g. blocking abusive traffic), and sees standard connection information such as your IP address as part of that.
- Google Fonts are loaded from Google's servers to render the site's typefaces, which means your browser makes a request to Google that includes your IP address.
- The web server itself keeps ordinary access logs (IP address, page requested, browser type) for troubleshooting and abuse prevention, on a routine rotation.
There is no advertising network, no analytics/tracking pixel, and no cookie-based visitor tracking on this site.
Cookies
The public site does not set any tracking or advertising cookies. The only cookie in play on the public pages is the temporary session cookie used for the contact form's spam rate-limiting described above, which expires automatically. The admin dashboard (not part of the public site) uses its own login session cookie, which only applies to the site owner.
Third parties
Beyond Cloudflare and Google Fonts above, and the mail delivery used to send contact form submissions, this site does not share visitor information with third parties.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If what's collected or how it's used ever changes in a meaningful way, this page will be updated and the "Last Updated" date above will change accordingly.
