Built the Facebook page, ecommerce website, and helped with branding for Hudson Grove & Co. — a fine jewelry brand with a focus on serving the LGBTQIA+ community — around 2013.
Hudson Grove & Co. was a fine jewelry brand with a deliberate focus on serving the LGBTQIA+ community — bringing quality and craftsmanship to an audience that was largely underserved by mainstream jewelry retail at the time. Around 2013, as part of my digital work at Modern Creations, I built their ecommerce website, Facebook page, and provided branding support, giving the brand a complete digital presence and sales channel from the ground up.
Building an ecommerce presence for a fine jewelry brand requires more care than a standard product site — the presentation has to match the quality of the product and earn the trust of a buyer making a considered purchase. The brand's community focus added another layer: the digital identity had to feel genuinely welcoming and aligned with the values of its audience, not performative.
The Challenge
Hudson Grove & Co. needed a complete digital presence — ecommerce website, social media, and brand identity — that could sell fine jewelry online while authentically reflecting its commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community. At the time, very few jewelry brands were explicitly building for this audience, which meant the brand positioning and digital execution both mattered enormously.
The Approach
I approached this as an integrated brand and ecommerce build — website, Facebook, and branding developed together so the digital presence felt cohesive and purposeful. The focus was on creating something that matched the quality of the product and communicated the brand's values clearly to its intended audience.
The Solution
Built the Hudson Grove & Co. ecommerce website from scratch, establishing a full online sales channel for the brand. Built and set up the official Facebook page, creating the social media foundation for community building and brand visibility. Provided branding support — helping shape the visual identity and messaging across digital touchpoints to reflect both the quality of the jewelry and the brand's commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community.
The Results
Delivered a complete digital presence for Hudson Grove & Co. around 2013 — ecommerce website, Facebook page, and branding support — giving the brand a professional online identity and direct sales channel at launch.
